Artist Statement:
Small subtle differences modify the interpretation.
These works are an intuitive attempt at capturing the elegant graceful gestures of body language.
Exploring the interplay of carbon paper drawings with found images and textures creates a synthesis of disparate elements and unique collages that, in the process of evolution, marry the virtual and the real world.
Beginning with original sketches, I introduce transplanted images, assemble and process them on the digital canvas. Refining and reducing the primary elements of form leads to communicating the complexity of body language with elegant simplicity.
Their final forms are series of Giclée prints, using archival inks and museum quality paper.
