Artist Statement:
My challenge has been to raise
the bar for American Mosiac.
In 2005 I won "Best in Show"
and a $500 prize for my work
at the "Bend Summer Festival"
in Bend Oregon. When I began
showing my work seven years
ago, people "pooh-poohed"
mosaic and said I would have a
difficult time getting into a
gallery. They also said the
painter's always win best in
show and mosaic would not be
able to compete. Well I've
proven them wrong so far, but
I'm not finished yet. My
goals at this point are a
little more refined,
particular art competitions
and galleries and working with
particular designers and
architects. If you have
anyone that might enjoy my
