Artist Statement for Theo. Dapore
|
|
|
Theo Dapore has been in the art field the majority of his professional life. Starting at a young age he recalls at the age of 14 or 15 getting out of bed at 2 or 3 am not being able to sleep and spending a few hours on a unfinished painting in the corner of the bedroon. At this time the direction of his life was evedent. "Do I have it, or does it have me?!"
The creative aspect is not just expressed in the art it come through in a mixture of techniques combined on a single canvas. Unorthodox?? The artist makes it happen with mix and flair approaches that distinguishes he's quite unique in the field of art. Many of the tools and equipment used by Dapore are are altered from their intentional use and a few pieces are handmade. Included in that arsinal is a lot of fingerpainting.
