Artist Statement for Thomas Hodges
|
|
|
I like to work with natural light whenever possible, ranging from very low light to very high definition, often capturing the feel of movement within a static image, and in December 2006 I founded a new art movement entitled "Imaginism", which encapsulates this unique "Imaginistic" style. In almost all of my work, the final image is created within the lens, with post-processing being limited to basic correction only.
My principal subject matter is that of women; capturing the artistry of their femininity, sensuality and sexuality. My images range from the world of fine-art, to bordering on the world of fetish and fantasy. In whatever case, my style remains uniquely my own.
