Artist Statement:
I am not an artist just
because I want to be, it’s
more about being, then wanting
to be. I did not choose to be
an artist and over the years I
have wanted to give up on the
idea. But art for me, is not
just about making things, it’s
about the need to express and
communicate feelings (hope,
hopelessness, joy, fear,
anger, frustration etc) and
ideas. It is about the need to
understand everything (the why
of it all) and nothing more
then just having fun and
laughing at myself and
absurdity of life.
I do not claim to be a
great or even a good artist. I
know if I had more patience
most of work could be better
on a technical level, but I
don’t, so it isn’t, so what. I
have always felt like I was
living on death row and at any
time they would come to
execute me. This is why I feel
the need to rush everything. I
also feel I am wasting my time
and life on making art. I
should be doing something
else…but what?
After all these years I am
more confused then ever...
