Artist Statement:
Born in Indiana and now living
in Maryland. Draftsman,
builder of musical
instruments, teacher, and clay
sculpture artist.
My figures find their way out
of the clay to become a
reality. Sometimes I can see
the complete image prior to it
finding it's complete form.
Sometimes I can see the image
fade out of a piece during the
working of the clay if I work
it to long. Sculpture is a
strange art form some describe
as a dream taking shape.
I have trouble finding the
words to express how art
effects me. I can find a deep
connection to a lot of
different forms of art when I
see certain items. I think we
are all captured by certain
images and we are all effected
by different forms. Art is an
inside experience that can
bring much joy....
