Artist Statement for Teresa Sanson
|
|
|
I have always loved and been influenced by classical themes in art. My ancestry is Italian, Dutch, and Celtic, and many of the gods, goddesses, and mythology appear in my work. My work has developed out of a love for mythology and desire to express long-held traditions in a uniquely personal style. Blending impressionistic brushstrokes with dreamlike imagery, I endeavor to create a dark world of beauty and angst.
