Artist Statement:
As my understanding of my distinct personality traits becomes ever so more apparent the surfaces I design appear as a sign to what lies within that can otherwise never be seen. I tend to be malleable to changes in my circumstances as annealed copper to a mallet.
Being as vague, yet truthful as possible, is my goal when explaining my work. So as to leave some interpretation to you, and retain the reasoning, or lack of reason behind the work.
Inspirations:
Dealing with the haunting of the clusters of "ones" in my life, I am focusing on the shape of the numbers and integrating them with paint on a surface just as they randomly appear in my reality in any given circumstance I may find myself.
I may also begin a painting with an awe inspiring place in mind then navigate in another direction as I concentrate on the feelings brougth by my visit there....
