Artist Statement:
Although I am Peruvian by birth, I have also lived in Miami, Buenos Aires, Caracas and am now based in England since 1994. I used bright colours to explore this concept.
Currently I am working on paintings which relate to another native Indian, Quechuan, concept called "Pachamama". This references the Earth (Gaia) and the environment and the colours in these paintings are more earth-based. This collection will be exhibited in 2003.
