| Why Did You Become An Artist |
I found out by accident that I could and loved making beautiful pieces with gemstones and swarovski crystals. When I first tried, it was just supposed to be for myself, and I loved it so much that I couldn't stop creating, so I've decided to make it for other people as well. |

| Your Personal Biography |
I was born in Portugal, Lisbon. My parents had 11 children, three boys and eight girls. I'm the 6th child counting from the oldest.
I was raised in Portugal, where I attended school, (Elementary school and High school). I Met my husband when I was 15 years old and we started dating. At the age of 23, my husband's relatives from Canada asked him if he was interested in living in Canada. Since the cost of living in Portugal at that time was very high, and we couldn't afford to get married because we couldn't afford to pay rent, we've decided to take a chance, so he accepted the offer, and went to Canadian emmigration with the letter. His request got granted, so we got married in January of 1980, and in March of the same year, we left Portugal. We arrived in Canada, Kitimat B.C. on March 20th 1980. My husband was lucky enough to find a job one week after arrival, one month later, we left his uncle's house and rented a basement house on the same street. We lived there for one year, and then moved to a more spaced basement house, which happened to belong to his cousin.
In April of 1982, our son was born, at the Kitimat General Hospital. In December of 1982, we bought the house we live in today. A two storey house.
In 1983, we became Canadian Citizens.
In 1985, I've decided to go back to school and take a degree in Business.
I liked it. I was able to take Bookkeeping, and after that, Office Management. I graduated in 1989.
I was accepted at "Alcan Aluminum Company" in Administration. I worked for the company until my son entered High School.
My husband is still working for the same company, and will be retiring in three years.
