Artist Statement:
My Father taught me photography as a youth, so he could be in family photos. He bought me a metal, box Kodak Brownie camera. My parents nurtured my artistic nature in many ways. Growing up, I attended art schools in or near Chicago, Boston, and Milwaukee. I also attended the Dayton Art Institute and the Ohio Institute of Photography as I grew up in Dayton,Ohio.
By considering my life and its events, I gradually produced photos with more feelings. To express myself and the spirit of love in my heart, my passion for photography grew on and on.
My love started with art history. My photography as fine art matured by exploring many different venues. I took photos of the wilderness, the rural South, Victorian homes, and large old estates in Boston. I took photos everywhere I traveled but preferred old subjects as a main theme. Everything caught my interest as a photography subject.
I have lots of photos of my childhood with the many children living near me, and I continue to take photographs of children to this day. I have photos of cats which have a candid and humorous feel; I have people, ballet, and symphony photos...
