Artist Statement:
My fine Art Fragments -
ArtFragments.com
Backgrounds - First, I create
hand-made Backgrounds that
are; hand painted, collaged
panels with reproduced
Historic prints or maps and
pages from antique books.
These Backgrounds will be
collected/grouped into Themes.
They will also be available in
several sizes; 8x10, 11x14,
16x20, 20x24, special. This
will affect how many Fragments
will fit each Final.
Fragments – Second, I create
‘giclee’ quality prints that
are further ‘hand embellished’
and assembled into my
‘Fragments’. These small
‘brick like’ 3D Art pieces are
made up of several layers;
prints, foam board, cracked &
spackled edges, different
thickness and sometimes added
pieces (found items). Again I
offer different sizes (these
are approximant); 4x6, 5x7,
8x10, 8x10 Canvas, special.
All of these maintain the
highest muesem quality,
acid-free products … except
for the ‘found items’ which
are aggressively ‘sealed’
before they are used.
Secret Code – Finally, I add a
‘secret message’ to each Frag.
This can be part of my secret
code stuff (DaVinci Code
like??) … or, more often, the
messages are personalize for
my customers … the messages
evolve form the Art choices
and information I get from
them. EX; if a Client seeks a
Spiritual piece, loves local
churches, ...
