|
Chris* was born in Germany in 1969 and has been living in London since 1988, with various work and study phases spent in Berlin and other parts of Germany, as well as in France and Italy. He recently moved back to Germany and is currently dividing his time between the two countries.
From 1988 until 1991, he studied Fine Art at the University of London, Goldsmiths' College under John Wood, Elma Thubron and Ferris Newton. Since then, his work has been exhibited at galleries in London, Germany and the United States where he had his first exposure in December 1999 at the LA Artists Gallery in Studio City, California. From September 2000 until January 2001, he showed work at DFN Gallery, New York.
In June and July, 2001 he had a successful solo show at the Ice House in Holland Park, Kensington. Other shows include Café Gallery Projects in London, the Galerie Espace City Garden in Paris, and Artesian in Edinburgh (2002/03).
A large, two months show of his work was held in 2002 at HPS, Herford, Germany.
Upcoming group and solo shows in London, New York and Amsterdam.
He received an award and inclusion in ‘The Healing Power of Art’, an exhibition organized by Manhattan Arts International, and was a winner in the ‘Chelsea Global Showcase 2003’ at the Amsterdam Whitney Gallery, New York.
Christobal’s work has been featured in several quality online art and literary magazines, and was also used as the logo for the International Conference for Systemic Therapy in London, 2003.
He is currently working with Naxos, the classical music label who use his work on various covers of their CDs, namely the new Schoenberg series and other modern and postmodern composers.

Chris* wurde 1969 geboren und hat von 1988 bis 2005 vorwiegend in England gelebt. Seit kurzer Zeit lebt er wieder in Deutschland.
Nach dem Abitur 1988 studierte er bis 1991 Kunst am renommierten Goldsmiths' College im Süden Londons. Es folgten Arbeits- und Studienaufenthalte in Deutschland, Frankreich und Italien.
Seine Bilder sind seitdem international ausgestellt worden, unter anderem im Salon des Arts in Kensington und der St. Martin's Gallery, London. 1999 zeigte er erstmals Bilder in den USA, in der LA Artists Gallery in Los Angeles. Von September 2000 bis zum Januar 2001 nahm er an einer Ausstellung in der DFN Gallery in New York teil. Im Juni und Juli 2001 zeigte er seine Bilder in einer erfolgreichen Einzelausstellung in der Ice House Gallery, London-Kensington. Gruppenausstellungen u.a. bei Cafe Gallery Projects, London, Artesian in Edinburgh und der Galerie Espace City Garden, Paris. Im Oktober und November 2002 Ausstellung von 34 meist großformatigen Bildern bei HPS in Herford. Auswahl seines Bildes ’Silent Tree’ für ’The Healing Power of Art’, eine Ausstellung der Manhattan Arts International, New York im April/Mai 2003, sowie Preisträger der Chelsea Global Art Exhibition 2003 der Amsterdam Whitney Gallery in New York.
Darüber hinaus wurde Christobals Arbeit in verschiedenen guten Kunst- und Literaturmagazinen im Internet publiziert, auch war 2003 eines seiner Bilder das Logo für die internationale Konferenz für Systemische Therapie (nach Hellinger) in London.
Naxos, das Klassik Musik Label, veroeffentlicht Christobals Bilder regelmaessig auf seinen CDs moderner und postmoderner Komponisten, zuletzt in den neuen Schoenberg und American Classics Serien.
