Artist Statement:
What are you looking for in
painting?
It is not as much that I am
looking, but more that I find.
On the one side it is a
continuing maintenance and on
the other side a fulfillment
of the desire to be connected.
To be more than just me. To
not begin here and end there.
To not control or regulate the
process. I do have control,
and I can see that I am
developing technically and
have more insight in
composition and the structure
of a painting, but that is not
the essential.
It is the means, it is the
way, it is an important side
of being able to create what
wants to be created.
