Artist Statement:
Creating art work has been my life's pursuit.
Staring from as far back as I can remember.
Art at home, painting bottles, drawing my sisters.
Taking as many art classes as possible.
Becoming a 'Hawk eye' in vision and hand eye coordination.
Destroying works that didn't meet my own criteria.
Having to stop my college classes when I became pregnant with a "High Risk" pregnancy. Postpartum painting my wooden kitchen cabinets with still life's of fruits, vegetables, pottery and wine bottles while my son watched from his baby seat. Being poor did not stop me.
Continuing with graphic art. Developing negatives and PMT's. Learning
hundreds of fonts. New ways of composing art. While working part-time.
Ever lasting pursuit of the colors that express the words. Kandinsky, Degas, Gaugan, Monet, Manet, Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera. This not counting the numerous others that have influenced me in one way or another until today.
Currently working with re-cycled graphic art drawers, old clothes, and lace, which are now all but obsolete. Three pieces: "The Phoenix Rising from the Sun", "The Wedding", and "The Annunciation of the Eminent Outcome". Soon I'll display those to this site...

Commissions:
Back in the 1980's, I met a lady named Rose Kline, at an exhibit at the South Florida Art Institute, in Hollywood.
She took me under her wing, per say, and I did several paintings for her.
The most difficult painting I have ever done in my life was...
