Artist Statement:
As an avid wearer of jewellery since the age of three, my interest in jewellery began early.
A need to create objects to be worn that hold special meanings is why I make jewellery.
I produce work that is wearable and visually strong. With every piece my desire to create a good piece in its own right is paramount. Conceptually the personal and intimate inform my work.
Metal, wood and plastic are the materials I have the greatest affinity for. The sheen of metal, the nobleness of wood and the curiosity of the synthetic which is plastic. In combination they meld the old and the new....
