Artist Statement:
God is the supreme
artist. By his own rhythm and
imagination, he creates the
Universe. Human being is his
best among all creations and
blessed with the power of
abundant imagination. I have
chosen this field to create
more and more with the power
of imagination. While making
an art, I can play with my
imagination, create
conceptions every moment and
depict them with colors on
canvas or paper. I get lot of
peace and happiness and bliss
of solitude when I create new
things through art. That’s why
I like to make art.
I didn’t knew I’d become an
artist. Like most kids, I
liked to draw and paint.
What inspires me to create my
paintings is the beauty I see
in simple things- color,
textures, patterns and forms.
My art does not look for
representing something or
somewhere instead it looks for
making obvious the grandeur of
simplicity and pureness of a
relationship.
To me, Art is a synthesis of
my personal feelings , the
subject or colors that inspire
me and my materials and
techniques. Serenity and
simplicity are my primary
goals.
I think my paintings thread a
fine line between beauty and
discord. Alluring...

Welcome to Vinita Dasgupta's Portfolio.

I have chosen this field to create more and more with the power of imagination.
