Artist Statement:
I was born in England, have
always doodled and painted,
and at sixteen did a two year
foundation course at the local
art school.
I then spent the next twenty
years doing "proper jobs", and
only started to paint again
when I came to
Gibraltar,(where I met my
husband), because of the
beautiful quality of light and
the interesting and
picturesque place it is.
I paint in many mediums but
mostly in watercolour and have
held fifteen solo exhibitions,
where my pictures have been
bought by people from all over
all over the world.
About eight million tourists
visit Gibraltar every year,and
I get so many requests to
paint "Rocks of Gibraltar"
that I started to have cards
and prints made,which are on
my web site, now with other
gift items such as coasters
and placemats.
I regularily take part and
sometimes win prizes in
competitive exhibitions in the
local area and in 2002 won the
overseas prize in a
competition run by Daler
Rowney and The Artist
Magasine.
My paintings are described as
cheerful, with sparkling
sunshine and a good sense of
colour.

pictures were sold.
Have taken part in
International Exhibitions in
Gibraltar.Won 2nd prize in
1985 and have had several

thrice and 3rd ...
