Artist Statement:
As statement I paint ...and
make images.. what ever the
tool or medium.. All the time
with innate sensibility
to my environment and as
celebration of being alive and
having life....and its
vivacious sensuality...
Flat or dimensional, with
whatever medium or tools,
whole act should be an
enriching experience for me
and
on looker, and an increment in
my experiential data and
pleasure, and in turn my
sensitivity. And If I am unit
of
this world, World would be one
unit more sensitive.
As such I wish, I knew why I
make these images...probably
any field I would be in I
would relate it to my quest
for life and its
manifestations........love,
hate, surviva,l
death..........................
Recently I am into
digital drawing and paintings.
Mediums too real quality makes
images more un real
and essential, hence more
graphic and sensual. It is
delight and reaffirmation of
human senses and its
celebration of being alive and
functioning day to day in this
mechanical and over powering
intellectual world.
(Computer/printer) are nothing
but tools...for image
generations, and images are
sensually felt and are mine..'
Earlier training and work
had been more formal... but
elitists feel about it ...

As a design teacher

Started teaching Design foundation course in Department of Architecture,
M.S.University of Baroda.
Introduced entrances test for assessing students aptitude for
such creative and service oriented discipline.
Introduced workshop base Cariculam on line of Bahause
.where material,process and skill become integral
part of leaning and conceiving functional design.
students of those five years are already professors in various design institutes.
1989-onward.(12 years)
Professor in foundation course(Basic design)in both school of architecture and
school of interior design, in Institute of Environmental Design.Vallabh Vidhya Nagar.
Developed course and excersises to inculcate spatial awerness and space making
and modulating charecter of spaces.also developed excersises to develop analytical
approch to design problems.
Taking elective subject like pottery,printmaking,computer graphic(coral draw)
Teaching furniture and assesory design in Interiordesign department.
1994-1999
was member oof thesises(disertation) commitee.
also acted as internal guide to students whose dissertation topics ware humanity based.
