Artist Statement:
I have been painting oils on
canvas since 1991. Humor,
Color , flamboyance and
diversity in my subjects are
my delighted goal. Henri
Matisse is a huge influence.
I adore his distorted
brilliant style. Jazz, blues,
clasicial music accompany me
in my studio. My kitty cats
snooze happily nearby while I
create a tropical setting, a
garden blooming with red,
yellow, and orange flowers, a
portrait of a loved one, an
abstract full of shadow and
light, an exaggerated
rendition of a favorite fruit,
chairs sitting in a meadow.
Hundreds of ideas come to my
mind and I work on four or
five canvasses at the same
time. I have done as large as
5'x5' canvasses and as small
as 2"x3" canvasses. Variety
is the spice of life! ...
