Artist Statement:
"The purpose of my work is to make beautiful things. Working from nature, I am inspired by its beauty. When I paint simple things, I vitalise them and fill them with sense. Trying to exactly reproduce the light and the mood of the subject, I experiment with a composition, tone and colour. I balance composition, so that on-looker can breathe easily. I make contrast convincing, and colours fresh and pure.
Feelings and mood play an important role in my paintings, even more than the form. The technical side of art does not interest me, so I do not experiment with styles or medium. I am excited by the process of painting itself.
But technical skills together with inspiration are not enough to be a good artist, unless you do not work constantly and estimate your results soberly and strictly. It allows me to regard each new work as a serious search. Then I get the picture that is not the imitation of reality, but a new reality, created by the artist. Therefore the nature is the teacher and excellent contender in strife. Nature teaches me to see the subject and gives me the feeling of love. My idea is...
