Artist Statement for Waylan Loyd
|
|
|
Waylan Loyd, knew at the age of 9 years old, that his life career was going to be an artist. He had a great private art teacher that saw his talent at an early age. He also had school teachers that saw it also.
He took all the art classes in junior thru high school. After graduation he attended the Dallas Art Institute to get an Associates of Applied Degree in Visual Communication. Two years after receiving that degree he went back and got an Associates of Applied Degree in Computer Animation.
Waylan has spent several years developing and perfecting his painting style. He likes his creative ideas and projects to give him a challenge. He loves both traditional and digital artwork. That is why he has blended both media together.
The style he has been working on can be time consuming but the end results are golden. He wants to show that traditional and digital media can work together to make a beautiful piece of artwork.
