hmmmmmmmm---------WHY?-----------
did i become an artist?
HMMMM- as i remember -at age 6 i drew and copied MICKEY MOUSE and brought it to school- my teacher and fellow students said it was terrific--
so i went back home and copies more walt disney characters and soon fell in love drawing horses!! NOT EASY!
my parents saw i had TALENT -(WHAT'S THAT? -- COMPUTER CAN PAINT AND DRAW TODAY!! MAKE A LINE AND IT CAN MAKE 10 DIFFERENT STYLES OF LINES!!)
sooooo-- they enrolled mE in saturday art classes at the BROOKLYN MUSEUM ART SCHOOL , BROOKLYN, NEW YORK--
after that- i was encouraged by my grade school teacher to compete in the city wide art exam to enroll at the HIGH SCHOOL OF INDUSTRIAL ART-( NOW CALLED --(SCHOOL OF ART AND DESIGN, NYC) i PASSED!-- AND ACCCEPTED ! COMPETING AGAINST HUNDREDS OF TALENTED NYC STUDENTS GRADUATES OF THIS SCHOOL INCLUDE SINGER TONY BENNETT; FASHION DESIGNER CALVIN KLEIN AND TOP ANIMATOR RALPH BAKSHI.
NEXT I WAS AWARDED A SCHOLARSHIP TO ONE OF THE TOP ART SCHOOLS IN THE COUNTRY: PARSONS SCHOOL OF DESIGN. GRADUATES INCLUDE: DONNA KARAN, TOP NYC FASHION DESIGNER AND TOP HOLLYWOOD FASHION DESIGNER OF 1920'S --- ADRIAN !
NEXT I CONTINUED MY ART EDUCATION AT THE CALIFORNIA COLLEGE OF ARTS AND CRAFTS (NOW CALLED THE CALIFORNIA COLLEGE OF THE ARTS) OAKLAND AND SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA. GRADUATED WITH A BACHELOR AND MASTER OF FINE ARTS degrees.
WENT ON TO TEACH PAINTING, DRAWING AND COLOR THEORY AT THE UNIVERSITY OF CONNECTICUT AS A ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF ART AND TAUGHT SCULPTURE INCLUDING BRONZE CASTING AT WESTFIELD STATE COLLEGE, WESTFIELD, MASSASCHUSETTS.

| Your Personal Biography |
I was born in NEW YORK CITY.
Graduated from High School of Art and Design, NYC. Received a scholarship to one of the top art schools in the country, Parsons School of Design.
After graduating Parsons I studied and graduated with a Bachelor and Master of Fine Arts degrees from the California College of Arts and Crafts, Oakland, California.
I have taught Painting, Drawing and Color Theory at the University of Connecticut. I have also taught Sculpture including bronze casting at Westfield State College, Westfield , Mass
My paintings, drawings and sculpture have been exhibited in numerous art galleries nationally including : NEW YORK; BOSTON; SAN FRANCISCO; LOS ANGELES AND SEATTLE , WASHINGTON
My drawings and paintings have been publshed in numerous magazines and journals including : PLAYGIRL magazine;
GALLERY magazine(pen and ink drawings published monthly for one year)
