Artist Statement:
I am currently working with an Essex baised art group, called "StArt", involved in community art and craft projects.
I graduated from Cumbria college of Art and Design in 2000, where I studdied in a variety of different Design areas including, Print, Textiles Ceramics and wood and metal. I have a thourgh knoledge of various Art and Design techniques in a multitude of areas.
I am inspired by nutural forms and organic shapes. I grew up in rural Northumberland, England, this has had a huge influence on my work, as I love to use textures, colours and forms found in nature.
I work in hand-made fiber papers, which I then create into various art forms, from conventional lamps and screens to conceptual wallhangings and sculptural forms....
