Artist Statement:
I am a Canadian Wildlife
Artist, whose passions for
life and art are vividly seen
in my Paintings on Rocks and
Masonite Board. Painting with
acrylics and watercolors
enable me to capture the true
color in the animals eyes and
hair. I try to intensify the
mood in my work enabling the
animals to "Come to Life". I
study art and learn new ideas
from other artists. Today, I
am living in Wardner, British
Columbia, Canada, working in
my studio, dedicating all my
professional talent to
painting. My motivation starts
anytime during the day or
evening. Having a thought or
watching a program on TV, I
often pick up a brush and
begin to paint. I have to feel
the painting before I can
begin. Painting wildlife,
whether on location, from a
photograph, or by memory,
heightens the emotional depth
in my work. I feel the energy
of the animal I paint. The
body has to say something, the
eyes seem to watch you as you
walk by.
Besides the gallaries which
show my work, I have donated
artwork to the Wild National
Turkey Federation for their
fundraising auction. I am the
President of the Arts Council
in Cranbrook, BC.
