Artist Statement:
Until recently my paintings
have been mainly figurative.
Exploring other, more abstract
avenues is now a change in
direction for me and is of a
more experimental nature where
colour, composition, freedom
of painting gesture and the
combining of different
painting techniques to suggest
ideas is paramount.
My work often begins with a
realistic image which may then
be transformed, sometimes to
the point where the figurative
element disappears
altogether....
