Artist Statement for Ami Freeman

I feel I have been an artist since birth but only started to explore this realm a few years ago. I never believed anything would come of it but since then I don't hold on to many pieces long before they are sold. I try not to take my artwork too seriously, instead I try to just enjoy doing it and pour as much of myself into it as possible.
When I am painting I often let the painting paint itself. Sometimes I have some kind of idea but I don't know how it will turn out. My passion drives me and at many times I cry when I paint.
People ask me to do commission pieces most of the time. I enjoy that
very much. As long as I have a basic idea and room to express myself I do very well. I also keep in touch with my clients and let them know what is happening with there piece. My goal as an artist is to just grow and evolve and make people happy with my artwork.
