|
Tian is a guy who appeared from nowhere
Emerged from the underground, rather than Art schools.
Self-taught, self-proclaimed autist/artist.
Open-minded adult and solitary child.
One of those big kids who can't keep his hands off anything, runing the risk of overturning, breaking up what surrounds him.
One of these fellows who doesn't fear to be proclaimed Public Needlessness.
Who plays with matches in a gas station.
He likes to provoke, but to provoke a reaction, an emotion, a dialogue.
His pictures are designed like short stories, like one-page tales, all together incisive, disconcerting, unexpected, attractive.
My painting tries to look like me but it can't keep up" he declares.
Tian is working -kidding- in Le Mans where he lives with his children, his cat Fulbert and his many imaginary or encountered muses, on the fringe of an ultraconformist provincial life.
