| Your Personal Biography |
My name is Yair Blaushtein. I'm 32 y.o and most of my life I lived in a place
called Moshav Bezet, less then 1 mile from the border of Lebanon.
After my service in the IDF, I worked as a pc technician but soon enough
I felt the artist within me ready to break free. Gourds were growing on my
parent's farm since I remember. The idea of combining art with gourds
came up a few years ago, and still it remained as a hobby.
I went through 3 years of graphic design studies in Haifa and worked
as a designer for 7 years. Recently I decided on living in Jerusalem
and becoming a full time artist. This city discovered in me the Jewish design
and motifs and so a new artistic journey has started for me.
This site brings you right into my Judaica gourd world.
I’m also influenced by Chinese and Japanese designes and every now
and then you can see me work with African motifs.
