Artist Statement:
Words of Tokiko
Approaching senior year all
struggles of life is turning
to fruits.
I have lived through American
experience as a Japanese
American.
In my painting I record the
world around me that echoes my
life, unforgettable moments at
the time of challenge.
I portrait the ordinary people
who curbed the pavements,
rustled along the board walk,
Lived behind cast-iron-façade
and
cultivated the settlement.
