Artist Statement for Zahir Uddin Babar
|
|
|
Art is my life and passion. I expresses profound happening in every day life within context of the modern world. For me Art is that, in which, the hand, the mind and the heart work together and convert my feelings into a masterpiece, whether it is a watercolor, oil painting, collage or calligraphy.
I do not see the things as they are, but express them as I feel. To express my complex ideas and issues, I need to reduce them to a simple concept, or metaphor. I then, paint them in a way that is straightforward, using blood and arbitrary color, to convey the state of mind.
