The fact that rocks are not brown...it is freaking inspiring that the "creator(ess)" made Amythist, Tigers' eye, tourmaline, malachite...all beautiful, bright crystalline colors. And Mignons art! |

| Your Personal Biography |
I was born in Long Beach California and was raised in various Southern California towns.
I tried to go to Community college to take art classes. The oil painting teacher, Mr. Ivans, told me I couldn't paint! I quit school, joined the army and found I couln't NOT paint. Didn't matter if it was horrible or whatever, I had to do it. Went to the PX, bought some little tubes and started! Just for fun I attempted to copy a photograph of a lake as viewed through some trees and vines...it was really very good! I was amazed and I haven't stopped painting since. I copied post cards and other pretty pictures for 20 years or so. Was never QUITE happy with the pretty pictures...But I learned how to do it!!!Abstract art is much more satisfying for me! Raw, undiluted emotion, smeared or dripped or brushed onto a surface! Since a few years my shoulders hurt so badly that I have resorted to a lightweight digital camera. I don't presume to be a photographer, but it is physically possible! |
