I enjoy the look and feel of art, I think an observer should want to touch a work of art as well as see it. In my paintings I use many methods to create a sense of texture, both real and illusionalry. I feel that texture is as important an element as is color. In my work I have reduced the color to a select one or two hues. This helps to add a magical feel to the work. I then add texture such as, patches, strings, bugs, well pretty much anything I can find, to add a different dimension to the work. To make the viewer want to take a closer look at the work.
