Artist Statement:
Artist’s Statement
I’ve been involved with the visual arts all my life. Creating images is something that just seemed to come naturally to me.
Over the years I’ve tried many varied mediums, though until recent years, the bulk of my commissioned works have been in oils.
I must say that I like the richness of the colors and many of my clients have felt that there is a certain
Prestige attached to oil on canvas.
However, more recently I’ve become involved experimental and computer generated art as well.
Most of my works are commissions, though I have sold many paintings that I’d painted just for myself, such as dreams that I had experienced, inspired ideas, etc.
Although I’m known as an historical specialist, I am able to tackle virtually any subject, as an international commissioned artist I have to be pretty diverse.
My style is generally realist, as I’m inclined to approach a painting like making a movie. To paint it you have to live it so that the experience is as real to the onlooker as it is to the artist.
Every picture tells a story, every painting has a life.
