Artwork Description:
Fishtown is a collection of weathered fishing shanties, smokehouses, overhanging docks and fish tugs along the Leland River in Leland, Michigan.
Once the heart of a commercial fishing village Joy is one of the few remaining fish tugs that worked the Great Lakes. Joys high flyers, now lashed down above her cabin, remind us of the countless ventures that she made out into unpredictable Lake Michigan.
The numbers on her buoy, 326, is birth date of my other joy, Laura, my first mate of twenty-eight years.
The original is for sale: $2,500.00
