WHAT WOULD YOU PAY TO OWN THE WORLD'S FIRST COMPUTER DESIGNED WOODCUT PRINT? Image from monitor used as design for manual carving into wood to serve as template for pulling paper prints. Computer used was the Commodore Amiga 1000 (now obsolete) and software was Deluxe Paint I (Electronic Arts, Inc.'s very first software offering). Was experimental, regret now that drawing newsprint paper was used, not archival, so now there are many age spots on the prints. Rare edition now kept in dark folder. Only 22 print were pulled, wooden template destroyed. VERY RARE; significant art concept of combining past print tradition with futuristic digital tool (1989 perspective). Historic FIRST woodcut print using a personal computer to create the image.
