Americas most popular nineteenth-century artist Winslow Homer celebrated many of the same pastoral
themes seen in Jean-François Millet: Drawn into the Light. Watercolors like Feeding Time, Fish and
Butterflies, and Summer are among the publics favorite images in the Clark collection, yet as fragile
works are paper are rarely exhibited. Organized by graduate students Catherine Steward and Jennifer
Greenhill, this exhibition focuses on some of Homers greatest achievements in the medium.
