In this exhibit, guest curator, Joyce Scott has assembled a remarkable body
of work 25 hard working, innovative artists. Employing experimental as well
as traditional techniques, and working in a richly diverse array of media,
these artists move viewers beyond traditional frames of reference and
challenge them to think in new ways about their definition of contemporary
crafts or African -American art. Artists include Willis Bing Davis, Raymond
Dobard, L’Merchie Frazier, Sana Musasama and Arthur Smith.
