Presented in The Dayton Art Institute's interactive EXPERIENCENTER, Color Connections will explore color
and light to show the relationship between art, science and daily life. Families may engage in fun and challenging
hands-on activities that will teach them about color and light and will be a great way for adults and children to
enjoy art museums together!
Color Connections visitors will study the scientific principles behind color, the
chemistry and sources of creating color, and the psychology of color in how it is used in art to communicate
different moods and messages. Included will be participative multimedia computer activities, color wheel
experiments, light refractors and filters, color mixing tools, color trivia, create-your-own color art, activities to
manipulate color in existing art, books and videos.
