Paintings by William MacGillivray, the first to show animals and birds
inhabiting their natural environment, are the subject of a new
exhibition at The Natural History Museum.
The first exhibition exploring the work and life of this underrated
Scottish naturalist and artist, A Natural Genius for Painting: The art of
William MacGillivray opens to the public in the Museum's Jerwood
Gallery on Friday 31 March and runs until Wednesday 21 June.
