Thomas Blackman Associates and a prime group of prestigious modern
and contemporary galleries from around the world invite you to attend
the country's most celebrated international art exposition, Art Chicago
2000 at Navy Pier. The 8th annual exposition of 20th and 21st century art
will present a diverse selection of artists and media-ranging from
cutting-edge contemporary to modern masters - a comprehensive
survey of art from the last century and a glimpse into the future.
Since 1993, Art Chicago has achieved distinction as an innovative art fair that launches a
new generation of gallerists onto the international art scene, while continuing to feature
the world's top established galleries showing museum quality works of art. At last year's
exposition, Art 1999 Chicago, record sales totaled $60 million, nearly a 50% increase over
Art 1998 Chicago.
Dealers from Around the World
Regarded as a vital source for gauging contemporary trends and developments in the art
market, Art Chicago 2000 offers an excellent opportunity for museum curators, corporate
consultants, private collectors and art enthusiasts to view and purchase the works of over
2,500 artists in all media-from painting, sculpture, drawings and
photography, to prints, video, audio and installation work.
The diversity and dynamism of each fair is heightened by its range of
participants and represented countries. An influx of vanguard dealers and
young trendsetters will join the ranks of Art Chicago 2000, thus
augmenting the breadth and quality of the country's most comprehensive
exposition of modern and contemporary art. Art Chicago 2000 welcomes
dealers from 23 countries this year, with significant representation from the
United Kingdom, France, Spain, United States, Germany, Japan and
Korea.
