Arthur Boyds prodigious talent, wit and passion overflowed
into paintings, drawings, prints, ceramic tiles and sculpture
works which shaped perceptions of Australia and Australian
creative life. The first significant exhibition of Boyds work
since his death in 1999, the exhibition features rarely seen
works from private Adelaide collections including the University
of Adelaide and the Gallery s own notable collection, which
includes Boyd s own gift of sixty-four drawings, many of which
are studies for his most important paintings.
