This inaugural exhibition at Scandinavia House: The Nordic Center in North America is a lively survey of contemporary Nordic design featuring the work of some fifty young designers and design groups from all five Scandinavian countries.
Nordic Design: The Generation X is organized by Design Forum Finland (DFF) in cooperation with the Design Councils of Denmark, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden, at the invitation of The
American-Scandinavian Foundation. Comprising furniture-, industrial-, textile-, graphic-, and fashion-design, Nordic Design: The Generation X explores the range of design ideologies represented in contempory Scandinavia. The exhibition is supported by the Nordic Cultural Foundation, the Ministry of Education of Finland, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland.
