In the summer of 2000 Ona Art Centre opened its doors as a working centre for professional artists. According artists who have completed residences, the facilities and accommodations are of a high modern standard, for both individuals as well as groups or companies. The buildings (the workingcentre and the guesthouse) are in a characteristic Norwegian style and are newly renovated.

Working and being here has a great inspirational effect. Not to mention the influence of the unique environment the centre is located in, states director, Adryanne H. van Diggele. Ona island (known as the pearl of the Norwegian westcoast), is the smallest and most outlying island of the 'Nordøyene' about 45 kilometers of Molde, the capital of the province Møre og Romsdal. A little paradise far in the ocean! For those artists who desire a period of retreat in a quiet professional atmosphere, Ona Art Centre is a right choise for an unforgettable experience.
