The King County Public Art Program is seeking artists for the historic King County Courthouse located in downtown Seattle, Washington, USA. The artwork opportunities will be part of a major rehabilitation project planned for interior areas of the courthouse. The Public Art Commission and the King County Landmarks and Heritage Commission are eager to incorporate the work of contemporary artists into the successful rehabilitation of this civic landmark. Two artwork opportunities have been identified.
- Entrance Artwork: an interior wall area flanking either side of a central staircase in the south entry lobby; and
- Floor Design: artist-designed floor treatment for the first and second floor levels.
Deadline: Monday, February 26, 2001 by 4:30 P.M.
Project Budgets: $100,000 for the Entrance Artwork / $235,000 for the Floor Design and Implementation
