"2001 Workshop Offerings Announced"

New Mexico Photography Field School
Santa Fe, NM, USA United States of America

Begun in 1990, the New Mexico Photography Field School is directed by nationally-known fine art photographer Craig Varjabedian. His widely collected and exhibited photographs are known for their tonal delicacy and visual isolation of natural and human environments. Joining Craig for next years workshops will be Steve Goff, Professor of Photography at Odessa College, Odessa, TX; Fr. Thomas J. Steele, S.J New Mexico author and historian; Cathy Wright of the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center; Diane E. Williams, an architectural historian and preservationist and Landa King, Assistant Professor of Art at Texas Lutheran University.

2001 Schedule includes:

THE POSSIBILITIES OF CAMERA FORMAT: Making Photographs with the Large, Medium and Panoramic Camera, June 4 through 10, with Craig Varjabedian and Steve Goff.

UNDER A MOST BRILLIANT NEW MEXICO SKY, June 18 through 24, Craig Varjabedian and Landa King

PLACES OF THE SPIRIT: New Mexico's Catholic Churches through Photography, July 9 through 15, with Craig Varjabedian, Fr. Thomas J. Steele, Cathy Wright and Diane Williams.

PHOTOGRAPHING ENCHANTMENT, July 23 through 29; a workshop with the Texas Photographic Society, with Craig Varjabedian and Steve Goff.

GEORGIA O'KEEFFE: Through the Camera's Lens, August 6 through 12, Craig Varjabedian and Cathy Wright

The tuition for each workshop is $745. plus NM sales tax. A complete brochure with workshop descriptions, instructor biographies and information on accommodations and meals is available upon request.
