Indepth Arts News:
"Changing Space: John and Jessica Johnson"
2001-03-03 until 2001-03-11
Canberra Contemporary Art Space
Braddon, AC,
AU
This exhibition comprises a small collection of works that the artist have worked on with his
daughter over the last six months. It also makes use of the space to experiment
with other works, not yet complete, that need to be placed in a gallery environment.
The title of the exhibition is a reference to a collaborative work completed by the
artists during 2000.
This work and others in the exhibition are a commentaty on
changes and events we have witnssed and experienced over a twelve month period.
The works are these personal tragedies and a celebration of life. This exhibition at
CCAS Manuka follows the first joint exhibition of Jessica and Johnno's work, which was
held at the Choreographic Centre during NAIDOC Week 2000.
