Perte de Signal is currently working on a project called Anima which
gathers digital video works created by emerging women artists. The selected
works will form a program of approximately one hour which will be launched
in the studios of Groupe Intervention Video (G.I.V.), Montreal, in autumn
2001. This project is organized by Perte de Signal in collaboration with
G.I.V.
The organizers privilege innovative and experimental works which explore the various
aspect of moving-image making made possible by recent sound and image
processing technologies. Short videos that use new and unknown techniques
and seek to renew esthetics are likely to interest the jury commitee. First videotapes and
students works are also welcomes.
The artists will be paid. A program and a web site will be created for the
occasion.
