"Propaganda: Cuban Political and Film Posters"

The first of its kind in New York, this exhibition will present original silk-screened political posters
dating from the 1950s to the late 1990s. The exhibition represents the importance of the Cuban
poster both in disseminating political messages and in demonstrating Cuba's art culture as a thriving
international force.
A special highlight of this show will be a rare collection of film posters designed by Cuban artists for
both Cuban and foreign films.
Gallery location and hours
The National Design Center is at 164 Fifth Avenue (between 21st and 22nd Streets) in New York
City. The nearest subway station is on the N and R line at 23rd Street.
The gallery is open Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
