"Young Applied Artists - The First Batch"
2001-04-20 until 2001-05-27
National Museum
Stockholm, ,
SE
To stimulate innovative applied art, Director Bengt
Julin has financed grants for young applied artists.
This is the first year the grants are awarded. Over a
period of six years, the Bengt Julin Fund will distribute grants for artists working in glass, ceramics,
metal, textiles or wood. The jury consists of Bengt
Julin and several prominent representatives of
Swedish art: from the media, education and
museums.
A grant recipient from each category of
materials will be presented at an exhibition at
Nationalmuseum. Director Julin, a consistent
supporter of applied art for many years, had a
successful career in insurance before retirement.
